Women Who Were Scientists

Thanks to everyone involved in our Songstories for Hastings Storytelling Festival on 12 October 2019 in Hastings Town Centre. And thank you to everyone who stopped and listened and chatted on what was a very wet day!

We are very grateful to songwriter Anna Page who worked with Kym East and the students of The Hastings Academy as well as Robsack Wood Primary Academy Birch Class, to produce songs about women scientists. Also to Whalebone Productions, who created a sound installation of the songs, and to The Hastings Storytelling Festival, organised by 18hrs, for allowing us to participate.

This was all made possible by our funders Hastings Opportunity Area, who enabled us to work with Kym East at The Hastings Academy music department and her students through an after school club. And to Hastings Direct, who enabled us to work with Robsack Wood Primary Academy.

We can’t believe how much was achieved in so little time.
